Our client who is a large tier 1 financial services organisation are currently looking for an AV Engineer/Architect to develop and maintain a set of AV standards for meeting room experience to be used as the basis for all designs, layouts and technology requirements across the business - including annual review cycle to maintain currency against new developments and technologies in the industry.

You will be required to develop and manage standard AV configurations across the organization to maintain a consistent experience for all users, in line with the organisations overall AV strategy and will provide good working relationships with manufacturers/vendors to ensure industry pipeline improvements are understood and communicated.

Key Challenges;
  • Deliver consistency and standards across an ever changing environment to meet high end user expectations.
  • Providing technical and operational support for configuration of the AV equipment
  • Driving operational & technology change agenda to mature services in line with industry direction.
  • Define a set of standards for meeting room experience 
  • Manage and maintain a catalogue of room patterns, designs, schematics to deliver optimum services to meet the organisations AV requirements
  • Consultation with business colleagues on new service requests and recommendations provided on all typical designs, layouts and technology requirements for commissioning new AV rooms.
  • Complete annual review of AV hardware to maintain currency against new developments or technology upgrades
  • Development and design across specialty spaces including Auditoriums, training and boardrooms. Working with external designers and vendors to define and deliver to business requirements.
  • Define and provide oversight of the standard required configuration of all AC/VC rooms within the business.
  • Develop relationships with vendors to drive change in hardware, design and build capabilities inline with technology changes and business requirements.
  • Understands the end-to-end (E2E) technical service(s) including dependent components and infrastructure for Zoom, Cisco and AV.
  • Assist in identifying proactive and reactive monitoring of internal and external AV systems, Zoom and Cisco platforms
  • Work with other teams to identify bugs, test, reproduce, report, and work with the escalation engineers to assist with a fix and test/verify fix versions
  • Create technical documentation and system material for external and internal content
  • Stakeholder Management & management of stakeholder expectations
  • Assist in the development of pro-active improvements to the service
  • Stay current with all of Zoom and Cisco's products, offerings, and integrations as well as those of software and hardware competitors and partners in the industry
Skill and experience required;
  • 5+ years' experience delivering technical support and development services to large scale enterprise deployments of Cisco and VC/AV solutions (Video, Web and Audio Conferencing)
  • 3+ years of experience working in a Workplace Operations environment dealing with multiple levels of stakeholders
  • In depth understanding of video conferencing architecture and protocols
  • Ability to design and compete complex design standards for AV architecture.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships across the business and with external suppliers.
  • Support and Deployment experience with Cisco, Zoom, Polycom or similar video infrastructure
  • Strong experience w/VoIP best practices, process, and procedures for deployment and support
  • Strong sense of ownership to drive outcomes
  • Able to quickly grasp requirements in a collaborative team setting
  • Ability to write customer internal facing documentation.
  • Ability to support and collaborate with NAB business unit customers, third party technicians and developers and backend engineering teams
  • SME level experience of large Cisco, Zoom, WebEx and Video Conferencing solutions highly regarded.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and oral communications
  • Energetic, outgoing and always willing to dive in where needed.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with unified communications suite products
  • Strong awareness and understanding of hardware, networks, software technologies and applications
  • Relevant industry certifications desirable
  • Strong business communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to remain flexible to deliver business outcomes
  • Tertiary qualification in a Technology discipline or related field desirable
  • ITIL v3 Certification is desirable
