Work in a dynamic and collaborative team to support a large-scale and complex transformation program in order to deliver a single contemporary Cloud-based enterprise Geospatial Information System (GIS) platform. The program aims to address core underlying issues, restore confidence in the GIS systems and data, provide the foundational environment to extend GIS related capability and address data quality issues; so as to provide centralised data and governance, enable mobility, and integration of applications with a spatial reporting dashboard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development of well-defined and high-quality Business Analysis artefacts such as Current State Processes, Future State Processes, Detailed Functional/Non-Functional Solution Requirements Specifications, Use Case Diagrams, Business Cases and other related Business Analysis artefacts to support a large-scale and complex program.
  • Work alongside other Senior Business Analysts to ensure that process models and requirements are aligned and traced.
  • Support the Business Analysis Centre of Excellence by complying with and contributing to best practice methodologies and processes.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders and project teams to understand and articulate business problems, and develop well defined and clearly articulated business cases for approval.
  • Ensure projects meet the needs of the customer and business and is aligned to the overall corporate strategy.
Skills/ Experience sought:
  • 7+ years' experience as a Senior Business Analyst with demonstrated experience in GIS projects and GIS software e.g. Esri ArcGIS, GE Smallworld.
  • Extensive knowledge of geospatial concepts.
  • Strong ability to facilitate workshops, interviews, observations across all levels of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience with requirements elicitation, modelling, validation and specifications.
  • Demonstrated business process modelling experience with BPMN and with UML.
  • Ability to communicate complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end project lifecycle experience in Waterfall (SDLC) and Agile projects.
