Job Description

This iconic WA company are looking to recruit a number of Contract and Procurement specialists to work initially out of their Perth head office. This will be to support the contract and procurement processes for one of their major projects. The work will be around the tendering of contract works and services, capital equipment and materials. This will then move onto contract administration.

Duties will include:
  • Provide reports, analyses and advice to support contracts decision-making
  • Identify and evaluate key risks at contract formation and seek input from other functions as appropriate (e.g. technical, legal etc.)
  • Maintain and update contract records and generate reports on contract activity to meet organisational compliance requirements and provide access to contract information
  • Contract administration to support execution, including correspondence and contract notices, payment and claims assessment
  • Work as part of the team to deliver value through competitive sourcing and effective contract management
Experience required:
  • 5 - 7  years experience in contract administration within mining or similar heavy industries
  • Experience working across construction packages 
  • Bachelor degree in commerce, business, law, or similar desirable
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple work packages
  • Good attention to detail
  • Professional and respectful manner with others
  • Understands the importance of stakeholder relationships and can engage effectively with engineers, legal, quality management and project controls to co-ordinate and ensure contractual delivery parameters are met
  • Self-driven and takes initiative to progress and deliver own and team/unit work
