Our client is a utilities company and they are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join the team on an initial 12-month contract. As a part of the organisation's transformation program they will be migrating a number of SCADA systems and consolidating it into a new platform for over 1000 sites! The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and testing of all sites as a part of a move onto the new platform.

  • Develop and maintain a collaborative and close working relationships with the Senior Project Manager, the Vendor, Control Room and other members of the Program team
  • Function as a member of the Program team as required
  • Assist in the review and approval of all SCADA design and test documentation (developed by others) for compliance with the organisation's technical specifications and the Program scope
  • Be the primary liaison between the Program, Control Room and Vendor with regards to timing and quality of sites to be tested and migrated
  • Be the key project resource supporting the business acceptance of sites both during and after the migration of each asset
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations for SCADA platform delivery as required throughout the delivery of the program
Your Experience
  • Thorough knowledge of, and the ability to apply, the relevant Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental and quality policies and procedures in the engineering teams work environment, and a sound knowledge of EEO policies and practice
  • Experience and knowledge in the design, implementation and operation of control and SCADA systems
  • Experience working in or around a fast-paced operational utility control room environment
  • Possession of tertiary qualification in Electrical or Controls and Instrumentation Engineering, eligible for corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) or working towards accreditation within 12 months from appointment
