Our client, who is a recognised WA brand-name, is undertaking a significant strategic transformation program that involves national growth, business expansion and diversification, and significant enhancements to their technological capability. This business transformation provides an exciting opportunity for top-tier talent to join the existing technology team.

We are seeking to appoint a Cyber Security Architect to help the team develop, deliver and influence the management of Cybersecurity controls on platforms, networks and applications to protect customers information, and to ensure that policy and legal/regulatory obligations are met.

The purpose of your role will be to help drive and assist the business to deliver a secure operating environment by:

o  Supporting the busines to embed a culture of effective security management;
o  Identifying, assessing, monitoring, reporting on security threats, risks and opportunities;
o  Working collaboratively with key stakeholders, partners and teams to drive the right security outcomes;
o  Providing specialist support and advice on the implementation of a cyber security framework across the entire business.

You will have the following knowledge and skills:
  • Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years in a similar Solutions Architecture role
  • Demonstrated experience designing or implementing security controls in the context of Cloud services
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, consulting and influencing skills
  • Strong understanding of key industry security standards, risk management in an enterprise environment, and regulations relating to IT risk, compliance, and security
  • Ability to operate autonomously and prioritise work effectively in a high-volume work environment
  • Tertiary education and/or degree in Information/Cyber Security or Technology/Engineering
  • Experience in a large organization (preferably financial services or insurance)
  • Industry qualifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, SABSA) would be a bonus
  • Experience cross multiple security domains
  • Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies
  • Understanding of Australian Privacy Principles
  • Familiarity with security testing practices and tooling
