Our large federal government client is looking for a number of new, experienced team members to join a high-performance project team. As a Database Administrator, you will be working on an on-premise to cloud migration project, focused on moving a number of COTS applications, custom applications and databases to an AWS environment. Working in a first-class digital business unit you will be supporting enterprise-level communication internally and supporting outcomes for the wider Australian public.

Duration: Until Jan 2021
Location: Chermside (North Brisbane)


About the Role
  • Support scoping, sourcing, and optimising the database environment for analysis
  • Apply innovative analysis techniques and model results and scenarios, while maintaining the integrity of the system
  • Develop enterprise data solutions using system databases, data elements and 
  • application software as well as other relevant tool sets
  • Guide development of data requirements for projects 
  • Work with the project team to drive a user experience that is easy to use and delivers the right information at the right time
About You
  • Cloud migration experience (AWS preferred) 
  • Experience with MSSQL 2012 & 2016, including stored procedures 
  • Experience with database projects 
  • Experience with database integration
  • Experience with Always-On availability groups 
  • Database migration experience 
  • Knowledge of database best practices 
  • Great communication skills and strong team-work skills
