Our client is currently looking to appoint a Desktop Support Engineer in the permanent capacity. Your main role will be to provide Level 1 and Level 2 Desktop support to end-users, via phone mainly and some face to face support. The support will be both on a hardware and software level.

The role requires prior experience, in a similar level of technical support. Strong customer service skills, as well as proven experience in troubleshooting end-user technologies issues, are essential.

Key tasks: 
  • Log, resolve or escalate all support calls and requests, according to agreed service levels
  • Resolve technical issues and provide an excellent customer experience
  • Record all troubleshooting steps and time in the appropriate ticket tool
  • Assist with the imaging, configuration and maintenance of laptops and desktop PCs according to technical specifications
  • Assist with the troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure and cloud-based solutions
  • Follow ITIL based best practice for the delivery
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems (Windows 10)
  • Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting Office 365
  • Advanced understanding of PC hardware set-up and SOE configuration
  • Experience supporting mobile devices (smartphone + tablets)
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Flexible and dynamic
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively to achieve results
  • Experience in administering Active Directory and Group policy
Other requirements of the role:
  • South Australian driver's license and full-time reliable vehicle
  • Open to limited travel within the Adelaide metropolitan area (from office to site)
  • Flexible to work in a shift and on-call roster
