Seeking an experienced .Net Developer on a contracting basis with a Government department on a contracting basis through until 30 June 2020 with two 12 month extension options available. The successful resource will be involved in the development and maintenance of a suite of web services/applications developed for government and the Australian business community. 
 
  • 12 month contract plus extensions options
  • Located in centrally in Canberra's CBD
  • C#, SQL Server, Web Services, JavaScript, front end frameworks

Duties of the role: 
  • Develop web applications and web services, adhering to relevant standards and protocols
  • Develop code using the .NET tools, frameworks and standards required
  • Work cooperatively and effectively in a small development team, whilst ensuring interaction with other teams
  • Provide operational support, deployment packaging and release configuration management as required.

Required Skills:
  • Use a range of products to manage, maintain and develop the code base
  • Develop web applications and web services, adhering to relevant standards and protocols;
  • Understand and code against detailed application architecture documents;
  • Provide impact analysis of user/stakeholder requirements;
  • Ensure that best practice and Departmental standards are applied and managed;
  • Effective collaboration with a cross-functional team working with an agile structure - including a project owner, scrum master, business analysts, UI developers, architect & testers to produce a solution in accordance with user and stakeholder requirements

Desirable
  • Proficiency with Dynamics 365
  • Proficiency with SharePoint platform
  • Dependency Injection
  • Microsoft Azure
