The Enterprise Cloud & Network Architect plays an integral role in facilitating the design and implementation of the current project for the digital strategy and building integrated technology roadmaps to drive the successful foundation. The candidate will provide strategic and technical leadership, reducing the complexity and maximise the efficiency and supportability of the technology portfolio, through strong technical oversight and co-ordination, ensuring compatibility between existing and new technology investments.

Essential Selection Criteria:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent industry experience.
  • Industry accreditations (i.e.: Microsoft; Cisco; Citrix; VMware; Palo Alto Networks; NetApp etc).
  • Significant experience as an enterprise cloud and infrastructure architect, designing and implementing solutions in a large scale, complex and diverse environment.
  • Significant knowledge relating to cloud and infrastructure technology, user requirement definitions, analysis, design, implementation and testing.
  • Experience with Cloud connectivity and service path design for hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Experience designing complex, integrated technology solutions on multi-vendor platforms/technologies.
  • Experience in driving discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation.
  • Strong Microsoft Azure design experience.
  • Hands-on experience in planning and designing, end-to-end IT infrastructure: LAN, WAN, WLAN, SDWAN, SDA.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security and network security principles.
  • Ability to understand the goal of the digital strategy and translate this into an enterprise technology architecture definition that will enable and support it.
  • Proven abilities to create compelling proposals and value propositions.
  • High level of solution design and management skills in complex organisations plus ability to document and assess risks and impacts.
  • A high level of interpersonal and written skills, with an emphasis on negotiation, communication (with business sponsors, technical staff and end-users) and effective delivery methods including an ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in Agile project management methodologies, and an ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
  • Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Strong project management and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus among many stakeholders.
