Your brand new role as Technical Services Manager will be to ensure the operational integrity, availability and security of a new service, supporting the Applications Team to deliver a robust and reliable critical business system to partner organisations.  

The role provides leadership and management of technical services, including Database, Hyperspace, Web Server administration and integration capabilities. The technical services also includes all of the newly defined enabling services including, Service Now administration, Release coordination and technical support of a range of applications, services and supporting infrastructure.

Key accountabilities
  • Lead the Technical Services team to ensure high levels of professionalism, operational efficiency & excellence, continuous improvement, and customer engagement & satisfaction
  • Ensure the integrity of the technical environments through the strict application of change and release control procedures & processes
  • Plan and develop staff skills and capabilities to ensure currency with contemporary technologies to best meet requirements
  • Manage and monitor the team's performance to achieve Service Level Agreements (SLA's) targets
  • Monitor operations and infrastructure to maintain security footprint and  security tools & technologies
  • Ensure operational efficiency through the implementation of ITIL processes for best practice
  • Vendor Management across a range of suppliers including the managed service 
Skills and experience​
  • Experience leading and managing an IT operations technical function
  • Previous experience in a large, complex 24x7 ICT operations management or related role 
  • Strong senior relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing third party suppliers, including the successful managed service
  • Proficiency with cyber security management controls
  • Knowledge of integration messaging workflows to manage the exchange of data
  • Formal qualifications and certifications highly regarded
