This global mining company is looking for a Master / Program / PMO Scheduler to join the team on an initial 6-month contract to maintain and develop detailed portfolio / program schedules to evaluate, plan and manage individual projects, as well as supervising the critical paths of the core pipeline of work within the technology space. Experience across Agile / Hybrid Agile environments is highly regarded.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and own the Portfolio and Programme Master schedule and maintain it in all required systems
  • Identify schedule conflict, assist with prioritisation and assist to maximise the capability of the Delivery Teams across the Programme
  • Coach and train Program and projects manager to optimise their scheduling and planning effort
  • Responsible for consistency of project planning, setup and tracking across projects and for ramping up and down project support and project execution roles in order to ensure the delivery team is sufficiently staffed to deliver the portfolio of work
  • Oversee portfolio/Program/project plans, schedules and estimates for all allocated projects in order to ensure a consistent and accurate approach to planning and scheduling of portfolio of work
  • Support data quality and project performance (cost, schedule, quality) within allocated projects
  • Responsible for tracking project portfolio schedule, commitment, team capacity and demand in order to deliver portfolio of work per plan (on time, on budget and on schedule)
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships and a path of escalation to relevant Programme Management and other Master Schedulers within the PMO Delivery Team
  • In consultation with the Delivery Managers, work with Senior Suppliers on the Project Board to address key schedule, delivery and quality issues and risks
  • Contribute to Project Delivery process improvement within discipline
  • Management and maintenance of project planning and tracking toolset
Your Experience
  • Excellent understanding and experience of Project / Programme Planning and Scheduling
  • 5+ years of experience in planning and scheduling
  • Ability to manage an integrated schedule of 50+ projects under a programme
  • MS Project Application Platform experience
