Our client is a reputable company who is looking for a Network Engineer to join on a full time basis located in regional Victoria with flexible remote working options.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

Provide technical support for Operational Network switches, routers and firewalls.
Optimise configuration and function of Operational Network switches, routers and firewalls.
Development and maintenance of systems documentation for the above Operational Network switches, routers, and firewalls in accordance with standards and guidelines.
Monthly reporting of network performance metrics
Proactive monitoring of network systems.
Design and engineer innovative solutions to facilitate robust and secure interfaces between old and new technologies.
Provision of specialist on-call technical knowledge and after-hours support for critical systems as defined by the business.Liaise with third party IT service providers as required

Must have experience in the following:

Advanced Cisco router, switch, and firewall support skills
Advanced Microsoft OS and applications support skill
Advanced virtual (VMWare) environment support skills
Storage Area Network support skills
Ability to administer and effectively make use of Active Directory
Knowledge of remote desktop implementation
Working knowledge of IT security practices.
Working knowledge of IT disaster resilience and redundancy practices.
Advanced problem solving and planning skills
