We are looking for a skilled and experienced individual to engage in a contract position with our large client in Canberra.  You will have experience working in the human services sector, drafting and interpreting compliance related policy and procedural directions, and be an outstanding communicator.

 
 Responsibilities include:
  • Build better practices in fraud prevention and compliance through the ongoing design and review of contemporary compliance approaches.
  • Provide guidance around management and escalation of compliance issues, accounting for applicable legislation, processes and procedures.
  • Provide procedural, administrative and operational to support the development and delivery of relevant policies.
  • Work under the general direction and support of the Director
  • Provide expert advice and procedural guidance in areas of compliance and fraud related policy and design.
  • Lead the development and implementation of compliance-related policies.
  • Draft and interpret compliance related policy and procedural directions.
  • Lead the preparation of policy documents for review and publication.
  • Coordinate and prepare a range of written material including business cases, reports, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to staff to build knowledge and capability.
  • Build strong relationships and partnerships and work collaboratively with stakeholders, both internal and external

 
Skills and experience:
  • Supervision/coaching experience
  • Ability to manage service delivery performance.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Highly developed ability to synthesise and analyse complex information and make decisions.
  • Ability to respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
  • Experience in designing end to end compliance and enforcement standard operating models and associated reference material.
