You'll be working with this large mining business on a number of Process Control and OT related projects. Previous experience working on OT projects within both green and brownfield environments is key. There are a number of components including upgrades, new builds and platform consolidations.

You will be responsible for:
  • The planning, execution and closing of any project and accountable for accomplishing the stated project objectives.
  • Manage relationship with customers, vendors, prime contractors, sub-contractors and other relevant parties, by acting as the central point of contract within assigned projects, and by providing necessary direction to all parties;
  • Create delivery group structures, project initiation documentation (project plans, product breakdown structures and product flow diagrams) ensuring satisfactory project progress and appropriate consumption of project resources
  • Participate in outlining the products to be produced during workshops and ensure that members of the group work closely with the other workshop participants
  • Preparation and maintenance of appropriate project documentation in accordance with the requirements of the Project Management Methodology and contractual obligations, including the project initiation documentation
  • Undertake the project kick-off including the scheduling, conducting and minuting of the project kick-off meeting
  • Ensures that the solution is delivered on time and within budget; Maintain project schedule, reporting and tracking structures / mechanisms to ensure effective completion of all scheduled tasks and activities
  • Effectively manage time and operate both with a team and in an independent manner
  • Manage resources, including sub-contractors, by ensuring their effective and efficient application to projects to fulfil project obligations, and ensuring project roles and responsibilities are clearly communicated and understood;
  • Manage the project budget and all financial issues, including the monitoring and recovery of project costs
Your Experience:
  • Demonstrated 7+ Years of Project Management experience
  • Ideally possess a degree in electrical or control systems engineering or similar
  • Have a background in systems including SCADA, PLC, HMI, DCS etc
  • Have an understanding of greenfield and/or brownfield projects
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Strong project management and reporting skills
  • Extensive experience delivering projects in a multi-vendor environment
  • Ability to use influence and relationships to work with other (third party) teams
  • Ability to work in complex organisational environments (ie matrix) and with remote teams
  • Logical and structured decision making
  • A keen focus on minimising the impacts that a technology project can have on the end user experience
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple projects at one time 

Highly Desirable skills/specialities:
  • PMBOK, PRINCE2 or PMP certification
  • Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Proven leader with the ability to motivate and influence team members from a wide variety of backgrounds to deliver high quality outcomes
