The Opportunity

Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer - Market Design and Strategy to join the market enablement branch. This is a strategic/operational role requiring strong administrative, analytical and problem solving abilities, advanced MS Office Skills and executive writing and organisational skills.

This is for a 12 month initial contract based in Geelong, with a rate of $45.74 per hour plus super.


The Role

The Market Design and Strategy Team support the development and implementation of this Federal Government agencies stewardship role and proactively monitor risks to the providers alongside establishing a framework to better manage and maintain service continuity. Your duties will include:
  • Providing administrative support to the team
  • Prepare initial reporting requirements to the Executive Leadership Team and other internal stakeholders
  • Review current administrative process and recommend efficiency improvements
  • Maintain and further develop Risk Tools and record management processes within the team, with the ability to provide enhanced and intuitive solutions
  • Assist with general queries and internal communications
  • Update Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistency of record keeping and other relevant procedures
  • Schedule and attend internal and external meetings and record minutes
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders and collaborative relationships with external stakeholders


About You

In order to be successful in this role you will have:
  • Previous experience providing support in a project environment within a government or corporate environment
  • The ability to manage your time efficiently and prioritise workloads, often working to tight deadlines
  • Strong administrative skills and experience
  • Strong skills in MS Office including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Strong and adaptable communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a team and adapt quickly in a changing environment
  • Understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals
