Job Description

Our leading client in the education sector is seeking a Release Train Engineer to provide key linkages to project activities including assisting ICT and the business. The RTE is a key leadership and co-ordination role providing direction, support and an escalation point for the Agile Based Teams to deal with issues around dependencies, issues and risks. The RTE will foster constructive and pro-active communication across organizational boundaries to ensure PI goals and priorities, key decisions, and status is clear to all.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Accountable for driving the strategic, execution of the Agile based Functional and Technical Delivery
Responsible for the creation and management of Release Train and Backlog Management
Responsible for the integration of Agile Methodologies and Waterfall and alignment to Releases
Work with Program Leaders and key executive stakeholders to drive ongoing clarity of strategy, decisions, and execution alignment.
Drive visibility and transparency of dates, milestones, and dependencies throughout the PI Process.
Escalate and track impediments. Removes bottlenecks where the teams cannot do it themselves
Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
Mandatory Skills and Experience:
Experience managing mutli/modal technology delivery
Experience managing delivery across mutiple locations
Experience in delivering large complex fast paced projects
Formal Scrum or Agile Certification for Example Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
3-5 years' experience as Scrum Master, RTE
Minimum of 1 year experience as a RTE
8+ years of program/project management experience leading/managing large scale, cross-functional programs; should include comprehensive experience as a business/process leader or as a leader in a functional role.
Demonstrated DevOps and Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Strong experience in program governance, delivery and management
