About
Work with of one of Australia's leading financial organisations - they are one of the top leaders in there industry. 

Contract Duration: 6 Months  

Role purpose:  
This role will be responsible for delivering effective sourcing solutions by working closely with all relevant stakeholders covering Business Unit Requesters, Group Procurement Category Managers and other Group functions like Legal, Tax etc as needed. The role is expected to identify and exploit innovative concepts and use industry knowledge to monitor and adjust strategies.  They establish strong supplier and stakeholder relationship and ensure operational efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness in all aspects of the business's third-party relationships for procurement requirements

Process:
  • Develop an expertise in assigned spend categories
  • Lead purchasing activities for multiple areas of spend for procurement requirements in accordance with Sourcing processes
  • Draft, negotiate and secure execution of contracts in accordance with Sourcing Processes, liaising with other relevant business functions eg legal, tax, finance where required
  • Adoption of global category strategies and development and implementation of category strategies where required
  • Maintain integrity of relevant databases - eg contract repository, work tracker, etc
  • Drive ongoing productivity improvements in each spend category
  • Ensure effective risk and compliance procedures and controls are in place
  • Implement, manage and ensure adherance to standards and processes for spend categories
Requirements
  • Category Level Subject Matter Expert:  Category and Industry knowledge with experience at category level
  • Leadership: Ability to develop and supervise junior staff to achieve required category outcomes and staff development
  • Effective communicator:  Established strong supplier relationships, internal/external client executives communication with ability to reach consensus across category strategies, targets and savings commitment.
  • Multi-task.  Ability to handle multiple urgent requirements in a high-pressure environment
  • Strategic thinker.  Effective, strategic with the ability to identify and exploit innovative concepts leading at a global level through complex projects
