Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to manage key channel partners (distributor & retailers) in Australia. Reporting to the Director of Retail, NA, this role will be based in Melbourne and will provide strategic leadership to deliver long term growth and achieve annual /quarterly /monthly revenue targets. The role requires a proven, results-oriented leader who will continue to build on our clients' success. This is a critical and key role as they scale rapidly during a high growth phase.

Responsibilities:
Full responsibility for Revenue and sell-through for your business unit.
Devise and implement strategic business plans to deliver fiscal targets and long term growth.
Build collaborative and high quality relationships with distributor, retailer partners and agencies.
Partner with the marketing, channel marketing teams and agencies to devise and execute retail marketing plans.
Be a participative member of the sales leadership team in strategy setting, building and establishing goals, policies and procedures etc. Collaborate with account managers to prepare and ensure that account marketing plans, merchandising, promotions and training are executed flawlessly during product launches while driving the overarching brand vision.
Ongoing and periodic (weekly, daily) reporting and evaluation of sales performance vs KPI's, identifying key trends and delivering actionable insights.

Requirements:
Highly successful track record in driving revenue targets.
Experienced Sales Manager with proven experience (demonstrable achievement of sales targets a must) and current relationships with retailers in the learning/ STEM/ entertainment/ video games/ toys/ consumer electronics verticals preferred.
Proven experience of managing the introduction of new and innovative products to retail channels.
Excellent negotiation, communication, written and presentation skills.
Proven analytical skills with the ability to translate data into accurate forecasts and actionable insights.
Self-starter but with experience in leading, managing and motivating successful sales teams.
Problem solver and results driver through continuous improvement.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including presenting business building plans and strategies.
Travel is required.
