Job Description

We are currently looking for a SAP HR Functional consultant for an initial 2 month engagement (chance of extension) with a large government department based in Brisbane CBD. 

The Role:
You will provide expert SAP configuration advice and content knowledge of the current and future solutions to ensure that the design and configuration activities are completed to meet business objectives

Responsibilities:
  • Assist and train SAP HR Functional Experts and business analysts in analysing and providing effective solutions to complex system problems in the delivery of support to, Agencies and QSS and completion of project work;
  • Provide strategic and expert advice to management on application and associated issues and initiatives including risk and issue identification and management;
  • Analyse business requirements and system specifications and provide strategic expertise to staff and management to ensure specifications are aligned to business requirements;
  • Analyse and solve complex system problems to provide innovative solutions to business requirements in the delivery of support to Shared Service Providers (SSPs), Agencies and QSS and completion of project work in required timeframes;
  • Complete system design, specification, configuration, unit testing and maintenance of solutions supported by QSS and associated documentation in compliance with relevant standards;
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and ongoing management of processes and solutions for archiving data from QSS supported applications in a manner to enable future access, to meet and support the new and ongoing business requirements of clients;
  • Consult with and provide expert advice to the business owners in relation to ongoing enhancement and development of the corporate system applications;
  • Liaise, consult and negotiate effectively with team members, other project teams, stakeholders and client groups to develop and maintain effective working relationships and the integrity of the overall integrated solution; and
  • Contribute to effective, client focussed teamwork by developing an understanding of the roles and duties of team members within the team and across QSS, and working collaboratively to achieve outcomes with a commitment to quality and customer service;
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and experience with emerging HR technologies (for example: ESS/MSS, Nakisa)
  • Extensive knowledge and previous experience (particularly Government experience) in configuration of  SAP HR;
  • Extensive functional knowledge of SAP PA/PD/OM and Payroll modules both ECC6 and 4.6B
  • Demonstrated experience in managing system updates and upgrades (Sync/Enhancement packs), including the development of functional specifications and other solution documentation, and business cases for system maintenance and enhancements;
