Our client is seeking an SAP Payroll Consultant to join their team based in Brisbane CBD for a contract until 25.12.2020 + extensions.

The role:

You will deliver high quality SAP business system support services to the SAP user base. The role will analyse, diagnose, document, implement and test system configuration restorations and enhancements. As a senior member of the team this role will mentor others including reviewing documentation and ideas.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and role model customer focus by treating all internal and external customers with honesty, fairness, sensitivity and dignity, by designing processes and procedures with the customer in mind, and by working together to solve customer issues.
  • Work in partnership with your team leader to agreed performance standards and mutual expectations. Give and receive regular feedback to enable performance to be improved and take personal responsibility for optimising your potential.
  • Perform, and support SAP Functional Analysts in the troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of incidents/problems/issues in the SAP application footprint including coordination of stakeholders and escalating as appropriate.
  • Perform hands on level two, minor configuration. Projects of SAP Payroll Module for service restorations and enhancements including documentation of planned configurations in comprehensive functional specification documents.
  • Implement configuration changes in non-production environments and unit and functional unit testing of the changes prior to promoting to production via approved transport policies and processes.
  • Perform expert functional consulting, particularly impact analysis, on the SAP maintenance roadmap and other SAP related technical changes.
  • Perform expert functional consulting, including options analyses/impact analysis/functional specification relating to future plans for process and systems enhancements within the SAP landscape.
  • Ensure all assigned open incidents/requests/changes are followed up regularly and provide constant feedback to impacted users, key business stakeholders and colleagues in the SAP Support Model.
  • Provide expert functional advice, guidance and review services to other teams and Functional Analysts within the support model.
  • Mentor/coach Functional Analysts within the SAP Technical Services Team and ensure all team members can meet service level agreements to ensure customer satisfaction levels.
  • Actively engage and maintain strong working relationships with appropriate business groups, business systems users and colleagues within the SAP Support Model.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding and working experience of payroll processing function including support of the HR Payroll Department during the weekly, biweekly and monthly payroll processing cycles , research and configuration for federal, state and local payroll taxes, configuration of payroll deductions (for benefits, union related items, court mandated items, etc..
  •  Strong working experience with OM, PA, Time management and Payroll processes, PCR's and Schemas.
  •  Experience with tools (LSMW, Workflows).
  •  Strong Working knowledge of configuration for the SAP Payroll Module and its integration points with all other SAP modules as well as ESS and MSS
  • Superior problem-solving skills to critically analyse business requirements, identify root causes and recommend solutions within a SAP landscape
  • Demonstrated experience in a mentoring role, in a SAP functional analyst team, including day to day coordination, providing advice and guidance.
  • Demonstrated superior stakeholder engagement and communication skills to influence, negotiate and articulate constraints. 
Desirable:
  • Single touch Payroll and SAP HCM and SuccessFactors Knowledge.
  • Experience with workflow preferred.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant or related discipline.
  • Business analysis and or business process analysis training and certification in a recognised framework.
  • Appropriate industry certification for one or more of the following major SAP modules; SAP FICO, SAP PM, SAP HCM, SAP Procurement, SAP SRM/ SuccessFactors.
