Urgent short term contract for a Senior HR Business Partner to join a busy team based in the northern suburbs to assist with a backlog of cases.This role will focus on your Industrial Relations and Awards/Enterprise agreement expertise. You will be highly valued and will make decisions that reflect a sound understanding of Victorian legislate requirements.

Reporting to the Manager of People and Development, and working in the People & Culture team, you will have the chance to liaise with industry representatives and advisor, peers in the local government sector, service providers and relevant unions.

To apply for this short term contract you will need the following skills and experience:
  • Strong experience as an HR Business Partner with skills in industrial relations and dealing with unions and frontline management.
  • Experience with Victorian legislative requires and sound understand and interpretation of Awards/Enterprise Agreements.
  • Experience and skills in HR policy and strategy development, implementation and execution.
  • An ability to pick up things quickly and be able to assist with a backlog of current cases.
  • Be able to manage complex matters and make expert recommendations that reflect Victorian legislative requirements
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • This role is to start as soon as possible so a short noticed period or immediate start is preferred.
