Strategic Communications Specialist

Talent International is working in partnership with a large government organisation to assist in sourcing an experienced 'Strategic Communications Specialist' who has demonstrated experience in crafting strategic narratives for large programs of work that span multiple stakeholders. This role will support engagement across the sector and other levels of Government.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop engagement strategies, to gain buy-in and build trust with stakeholders
  • Plan and develop engaging presentations incorporating powerful stories
  • Identify opportunities to tell our story, that may include case studies
  • Proactively think about media, internal comms, and other ways to get the good news stories out there 

Key Criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a related position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Content writing experience for all media platforms
  • Proven social media and networking expertise
  • Strategic and creative mindset
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • The ideal candidate is an organised, strategic thinker, and a team player capable of balancing multiple tasks and priorities. You should demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with senior stakeholders.
