The Role
Our client is seeking to engage a UX/Interaction Designer to transform our services to meet the expectations of our clients in an uncertain economic environment.

  • Work closely with user researchers and service designers to gain user insights, identify opportunities and validate concepts
  • Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success
  • Understand product specifications and user psychology
  •  Develop wireframes and prototypes, usability testing and gather feedback
  •  Effectively communicate, defend, and build consensus around concepts and direction
  •  Communicate Interaction/UX design considerations to different audiences
  • Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
  •  Apply your expert knowledge of UX industry trends to AFSA's business domain
Skills & Attributes
The successful applicant will have:
  • Experience in the development of UX/Interaction designs in government settings including wireframing and prototyping
  • Experience in creating user centric workflows in government settings
  • Demonstrated HTML/CSS coding including coding to meeting WCAG 2.0 AA standards or higher
  • Experience in user research and service design or Experience in React coding (desirable)
It is a requirement that successful applicant must be an Australian Citizen and hold a current minimum Baseline Clearance
